The Qualitative (Visual) Features of the DR Radchex Plus:
The user enters OLED values to indicate the dose used to produce images. The qualitative (visual) assessment of images is compared to the phantom’s benchmark image quality. When qualitative image scores are tracked over time, they can confirm the integrity of X-ray & Image Processing Systems.
- When used for daily and periodic Quality Assurance, the DR Radchex Plus is placed on an X-ray machine’s table top
- One AEC exposure is made to the embedded DISC Plus ‘patient-equivalent (1.5 mm Cu) phantom, producing entrance & exit doses on the large, bright OLED display (mR or mGy)
- Simultaneously, the embedded DISC Plus imaging objects appear on the viewing monitor for immediate scoring & recording
Users enter OLED dose values into Excel™ spreadsheet along with post mAs, image scores & DR exposure indicator values. Excel™ software graphs values automatically & custom reports are produced to identify ‘out of tolerance’ trends. Reports are viewed, printed & stored for use by Technologists, Physicists, Engineers and/or State Inspectors.
